2. What we collect

When you email or phone us, or contact us about coaching, keynotes, destination experiences or Dinners with Purpose, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, organisation and the content of your message.

When you join an event waitlist, the details you enter are collected by Luma (see section 4), and we receive the details of people who register for our events.

We do not knowingly collect information from children.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange the services you ask about.
• To organise and run events, including Dinners with Purpose, and to contact registered guests about them.
• To keep records we are required to keep by law.
• To send you marketing emails about events, Dinners with Purpose and ideas on leadership, only if you have clearly agreed by joining the list in the website footer. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing founder@gmats.org.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who else handles it

• Event registrations and waitlists are run by Luma. Information you enter there is handled under Luma's own privacy notice.
• Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree and delivered to us by email. Information you enter is handled under Formspree's own privacy policy.
• Videos on this site are hosted by YouTube (Google). Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play, after which YouTube may set cookies.
• Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.
• Cloudflare provides security and delivery for this website and processes connection data, such as IP addresses, to protect it from abuse.
• This website is hosted by OpenAI through ChatGPT Sites. Our domain is managed through Squarespace.
• Our email is provided by Microsoft.

We share your information with these providers only as needed to deliver the service. Some of them process information outside South Africa. We choose providers that apply appropriate safeguards, as POPIA requires for cross-border transfers.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for 12 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. If you subscribe to our emails, we keep your details until you unsubscribe, and we keep a record of when and how you agreed so we can show we had your consent. After that we delete or anonymise your information.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as the law requires.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold information about you and give you a copy;
• correct or delete information that is inaccurate or no longer needed;
• stop using your information for direct marketing; and
• object to our processing of your information.

To do this, email founder@gmats.org. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).

8. Cookies

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Embedded content from third parties, such as YouTube and Luma, may set their own cookies when you interact with it, under their own policies.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
